Ball bangs– This is often a great drill for older kids who have some height and jumping abilities. However, this does not mean that parents or coaches should be turned off by this. The ball bangs drill often starts on the right side. The player holds the ball and jump up banging it against the backboard. The player should do this as hard as he can 3 times. On the fourth time, he put the balls in the basket. You can encourage the kids to work up to ten or twenty jumps. After doing this for some time, the players can then switch sides. For the younger players instead of using the backboard they can use a wall for this particular drill. While doing this, you should ensure that the kids put the ball over their head.
